In many industrial applications, technical grade lactic acid is a cost-effective substitution for food grade lactic acid; generally, > 85% w/w L-Lactic acid. Tech Grade Lactic Acid, 88% can be used in place of, or in conjunction with, Acetic Acid and Hydrochloric Acid in both matrix and fracture acidizing. Hawkins can also custom blend Lactic Acid and Acetic acids for individual applications.
